Our story
It started in
a backyard.
Three roommates. A yard. Too much love for music to keep it to themselves.
Mangofest was never supposed to be a festival. It was just a backyard party: a few friends, a borrowed PA system, and the belief that music sounds better when you share it with your neighbours.
That first year we didn't have a stage, a lineup, or any idea what we were doing. We had fairy lights strung between the fence posts, a cooler full of drinks, a playlist that went until the sun came up. People showed up. Then more people showed up. Then someone brought guitars and a drum kit.
Six years later, we're still those three roommates at heart, just with a bigger stage now.

We book artists we believe in and give them room to take risks. No safe sets, no covers.
Community built
Mangofest exists because people keep showing up for each other. That's always been at the core of what we do.
City rooted
We're an urban Winnipeg festival. Local artists, local food, local pride. Winnipeg deserves this.
Always growing
Year one was one night in a backyard. Year six is four nights spread through town. We can't wait to see you at year ten!
